Registration

Information about fall semester courses  is enclosed in the June newsletter and published on our website.  Information about spring semester courses appears in the December newsletter and on our website.  Course information is also available at the main campus in Brunswick, The Highlands in Topsham, and Thornton Oaks in Brunswick.

To register for courses, a student must be 50 years of age or older and a member of Senior College.  The spouse or partner of a member may also join and register regardless of age.  Members must pay the tuition established by the Board of Directors or qualify for a tuition waiver.

Course Registrations for each semester begin on dates established by the Board.  Registration can be submitted online, by phone, or walk in.  Mail-in registrations are discouraged.  The MSC office will be open from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Monday – Friday to process registrations.    Registrations from all sources will be collected each business day and treated as having applied that day.  Assignments to classes will be made on a first come – first served basis until the class is filled.  On any single day, if we have more requests for a class than available space, we will use a computer-generated random selection process for the class assignments.  We will provide you confirmation on all class assignments.

Register for as many courses as you wish.  Online registration is available for all courses by clicking on the “Register” button near the top and bottom of the course page.  Registration is also available at the MSC office or by phone at 725-4900, but online registrations are preferred.

As noted above, oversubscribed courses will generate a blind drawing based on computer-generated, randomly-assigned numbers to determine who is placed in the course, who is placed on the waiting list, and in what order.  If a student withdraws from a class, that seat is filled by the next person on the waiting list.

Closed courses will be listed on this website

If you don’t get into one of your first-choice course(s), we’ll notify you.

Refund Policy

  • If you register for a course but are not assigned to it, you may either apply that tuition to another course or receive a refund for the tuition fee and, if not registered for another course, the membership fee.
  • If you drop a course prior to the beginning of classes, you will receive a full refund of the course fee if you return the course books unused and unmarked.  The membership fee is nonrefundable.
  • If you drop a course after its first class, you will not receive a refund, and the membership fee is nonrefundable..
