Ron retired to Maine after a distinguished business career with Bell Atlantic and IBM (where he won numerous awards for sales achievements and management). After a brief stint on Wall Street he joined State Street Bank in Boston where he retired as Executive Vice President with responsibility for over 2,000 people in six countries. A Bowdoin graduate, he established the Alfred E. Golz Memorial Lecture series and the Golz Fellows Program in honor of his father. He has served as a director of The Credit Network, The Boston Stock Exchange, Boston Financial Data Services, North Cumberland Hospital in Bridgton, Maine, Christmas in the City (Boston), The New England–Australian Business Council, Income Security in China at the Sloane School at MIT, and McGolf Enterprises. Ron was recently inducted into THE GLOBAL CUSTODIAN MAGAZINE’S Hall of Fame for his many contributions in the creation and management of custody and investment management services world wide.
