Equality and/or Freedom: The Past, Present, and Future of the American Dream

Can we pursue both freedom and equality in the United States? Do we want to?  For that matter, what do we mean by freedom and what do we mean by equality?  This course will explore issues of freedom and equality in a variety of situations and settings: in schools and workplaces, between young and old, between men and women, between rich and poor, and among various races and ethnic groups.  What do we hope for in the future?  MSC, Classroom #1; Limit: 30  Course is closed
