Midcoast Senior College lost a dear friend and colleague in 2020, Linton Studdiford, who died from illness on December 29. Linton was a board member and teacher, but it was in his role as the chairperson and most recently co-chair of the Curriculum Committee that Linton made an indelible impact on MSC. He is credited for bringing the highest standards to the college offerings, expanding the faculty and breadth of courses, and elevating MSC’s mission. Together with his wife, Bonnie, also an active MSC supporter, Linton recently offered a course on one of their passions, gardening. Linton was a master gardener and enjoyed sharing his expertise and wisdom with friends, including many fortunate MSC students. The next issue of MSC’s newsletter The Midcoast Inquirer will include an in-depth feature on Linton Studdiford. You may also view his obituary here.
