This course offers a journey into the world of Russian painting, its inspirations, its genius, and its evolution. Whether it be the innovative icons of Andrei Rublev or the astonishing modernism of Kandinsky or Goncharova, Russian artists have captivated and brought new insights by infusing borrowed forms with native content. As we discuss the best examples of Russian painting, we will practice how to analyze what we see and discover the meaning it holds for us. MSC. Limit 20.
