Tony Belmont

A graduate of Bowdoin College and of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Belmont served 20 years in the US Navy, retiring in 1985 with the rank of Captain.
His Naval assignments included submarine duty, Bethesda Naval Hospital, the White House, the US Capitol, and the US Embassy in London. After leaving the Navy he joined Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York as Medical Director before relocating to Oklahoma where he served ten years as Chief Medical Director for Phillips Petroleum Company. He retired from active practice in 2000 and relocated to Maine where he has been active as a volunteer in several non-profit organizations. He was President of Hospice Volunteers in Brunswick prior to its merger into CHANS, and he now serves as President of Midcoast Senior College.
