What is Midcoast Senior College

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Midcoast Senior College (MSC) is a non-profit, 501C3. Our mission is to provide  intellectually stimulating learning opportunities for persons 50 years of age and older. No college credit is conferred. Courses are for personal fulfillment and enrichment. Courses are taught by experts and faculty members in their field.

MSC offers Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Currently courses are on-line using Zoom with the exception of MSC Singers and other activities which have secured meeting space. We anticipate that the spring 2022 terms will offer a selection of in-person as well as on-line courses. Fall and Spring terms are offered in two sections (Section I and Section II). Courses are 5- to 8- weeks in length.

In addition to courses, MSC presents other opportunities for learning and engagement including our Summer and Winter Wisdom series, free lectures in June and in January. We also have a Current Events forum that meets weekly, a Shakespeare club, and a Writing club, all of which are free.
