Learning from Sustainable Cities in Europe
Description
European cities are celebrated for their livability with features such as a blend of new and historic architecture working comfortably beside each other; walkable and green areas in city centers supported by modern transit and bicycle paths rather than exclusive reliance on cars; preservation and recycling that reduces waste; and finally, innovative ways to meet energy needs on a scale rarely found in US cities. A wide range of cities will be highlighted in this course.
