What is Midcoast Senior College?

Midcoast Senior College (MSC) is a non-profit, 501c3. Our mission is to provide intellectually stimulating learning opportunities for persons 50 years of age and older. No college credit is conferred. When you take a course at MSC, learning is for personal fulfillment and enrichment. Our courses are taught by experts and faculty members in their field. Free lectures are presented in June and January: Summer Wisdom, sponsored by Sunnybrook Senior Living Community, and Winter Wisdom, sponsored by The Highlands. Currently this series is on-line using Zoom.

Clubs and groups are a vibrant part of MSC. We have a Current Events forum that meets weekly, a bi-weekly Writing club, and a Book Group, all of which are free to MSC members. Members may also enjoy our annual summer day excursion and other day trips.

How Your Membership Fee Supports Midcoast Senior College:

Membership fees support the senior college’s mission to bring learning opportunities to seniors in midcoast Maine. They represent an important segment of the annual budget, and as such, are non-refundable. Without our members, sponsors, and donors, MSC could not deliver the caliber and breadth of classes, lectures, and events that make up our yearly offerings. Thank you for being a valued MSC member.
