In the Beginning: Selections from Genesis and Exodus

Description

Genesis and Exodus together comprise the foundational mythology and legend of Western culture. Our seven sessions together will focus on five stories from those two Biblical books that help establish the themes of birth, death, and rebirth reprised again and again throughout the Old and New Testaments and, indeed, in virtually all religions and cultures. The course is meant for the religious and non-religious alike, as the essential question raised is universal: Is death the end or does it lead to new life?
