Our Towns

Description

In troubled times, we take particular solace in our homes and our local communities. But have we taken care to really get to know our communities and their stories?  “Our Towns” will explore Brunswick and Topsham over the past several centuries: the ground and the water, the people, their changing economies, the social fabric. We will talk about rivers, rocks and glaciers; about the Abenaki, the Scotch-Irish, and the French-Canadian immigrants; about dairy farms and mills; about schools and churches, and much else.  We will try to see what we have been given and what we have joined together to make into our towns.
