Revisiting Childhood

Description

This course will concentrate on the theme of childhood in the writing of three authors from different backgrounds and time periods: Leo Tolstoy, N. Scott Momaday, and Eudora Welty. We will explore a child’s perception of the world, the experiences that shape one’s personality, the people who influence us, and our relationship to the home and the outside world we are born into.
