I have lived in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Maine. From my childhood to now I’ve noticed a marked decrease in rabbits, fireflies and Monarch butterflies. I can’t remember the last time a bug collided with my windshield. Even in Maine winters are getting milder and there is less snow. Spring arrives earlier and bird migrations are affected. The northeast is charmed compared to much of the US in terms of weather impacts from climate change.
