My daughter and golden retriever joined me on the Wednesday late afternoon walk to the Bay. We were shortly past low tide. On our arrival at the water the dog instantly introduced us to the mudflats, coating herself in all the microbes she could roll in. She struggled a bit coming out of the mudflats, and got a good bath back at home. We saw a gaggle of geese fly over on the horizon. No other wildlife at all. We heard a redbellied woodpecker and a chickadee as we started back up the path.
