Reading Short Stories in French

Description

In this advanced intermediate course we will discuss in French several short stories from the literature of the Francophone world.  Nineteenth- and twentieth-century fiction from areas as varied as Vietnam and Quebec in addition to France will allow participants to explore new cultures while continuing to improve their reading, listening, and speaking skills in the language.  While some of the writers such as Maupassant and Daudet are quite famous, others like Phạm Duy Khiêm are well-regarded on the world stage.
