The Lost Generation

Description

Following WWI, a brilliant coterie of writers and artists found their way to Paris. “The Lost Generation,” Hemingway called them. Though F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway are the best-known members of this group, our discussion course will also look at Gertrude Stein, Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse.

About the Instructor

Although Paul Kalkstein studied 16th and 17th century literature at Princeton and Yale, he is fascinated by this period and wishes he had been guided there by someone other than Woody Allen.
