Wisdom of Children’s Literature

Hello participants in the Midcoast Senior College class, “The Wisdom (?) of Children’s literature.”

First, thank you for  signing up to participate in our 7-week conversation.

Second, there is no assignment for our initial meeting. We will (i) engage in an activity meant to introduce ourselves to each other [that will be the fun part], and (ii)  I will have some introductory comments [i.e. a lecture–the boring part] about some themes and the history of ideas.

Fourth, Midcoast Senior College has a wonderful invention called “co-host.” You should soon be hearing from this course’s co-host, Clare Durst.
